Positions

Position Description:

  • Primary responsibility is to setup and run production on Vertical, Horizontal Mills and/or multi-axis Lathes or Swiss machines.
  • Accurately reads and understands blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure proper setup requirements, sequence of operations, dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product.
  • Operates machinery and maintains production according to listed cycle times.
  • Documents and/or maintains tooling record to ensure process control.
  • Performs in-process inspections and documents findings to Aerospace AS9100 Standards using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Monitors machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Diagnoses and rectifies tooling problems and machine malfunctions.
  • Confers with engineers to resolve machining and issues and provides feedback to improve production methods and best use of equipment and tooling.
  • Performs routine machine maintenance and maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner observing Lean/5S protocol. Observes safety rules and company policies.
  • Mentors other machinists and performs other duties as assigned in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years machining experience or diploma from an accredited certified program.
  • Ability to understand blueprints, engineering drawings including geometric tolerancing.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry concepts that apply to machining.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent standing and walking; frequent climbing and balance on large equipment; frequent stooping; kneeling; bending; and crouching; frequent lifting or moving up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting or moving up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong safety, quality, and teamwork orientation with track record of dependability.
  • Experience with MasterCam, SolidWorks or Partmaker software is an added plus.
  • Must have own tools.

Position Description:

  • Primary responsibility is to maintain steady run rate of minimum of two CNC machines throughout the evening. Ability to run both lathes or mills a plus. No setups required.
  • Provides documented feedback to Dayshift on progress of jobs.
  • Accurately reads and understands blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure proper setup requirements, sequence of operations, dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product.

  • Nightshift hours currently run from 3:30 pm to 12 Midnight and there is a 10% wage premium for second shift.

Position Description:

  • Primary responsibility is to deburr and clean various size and shaped metal and plastic parts.
  • Follow careful instructions both verbal and on work orders to remove sharp edges on precision machined aerospace components.
  • Break sharp edges using tools such as electric Dremels, pneumatic die grinders, deburring wheels, Scotch brite, sandpaper, polishing wheels, drills and reamers.
  • Maintain part counts and piece rates in a high-paced shop environment.  
  • Measure parts using calipers, micrometers and checking threads with designated gages.
  • Provide feedback to management to adjust equipment or process to maintain parts specific requirements.
  • Support Lean and 5S standards by being proactive on process improvements.
  • Performs routine machine maintenance and maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner observing Lean/5S protocol. Observes safety rules and company policies.
  • Mentors general laborers and performs other duties as assigned in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience or a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good hand dexterity
  • Follows detailed instructions
  • Ability to understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent standing and walking; lifting or moving up to 50 lbs (Over 25 lbs with assistance).

John R. Bromiley Company Inc is searching for a highly motivated person with an extensive background in how to generate business in the government sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Review government solicitations to ascertain customer product, delivery requirements, shipping codes and decipher packaging code requirements to assist the estimator.
  • Submit quoted prices, delivery and prepare sales contracts including Source Approval Requirements when necessary.
  • Perform document review on awarded contracts.
  • Review existing contracts for packaging data requirements or deviation requests.
  • Prepare all shipping documentation for government contracts per MIL-STD-2073 and MIL-STD-129.
  • Maintain and update all documentation using government web sites such as DIBBS, NECO, Fed Biz Ops, EDA etc.
  • Prepare high volume of WAWF invoicing and shipping documentation. Proven training certification a plus.
  • Schedule Government Source Inspection when required.
  • Enter and maintain customer data and sales data on Government websites.
  • Pursue continuous improvement through AS9100 procedures.
  • Comply with all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they pertain to suppliers to the Federal Government and its procurement networks.

John R. Bromiley Company Inc is searching for an experienced self motivated person with the hands on knowledge in the preventative maintenance of CNC equipment and general building maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility is the daily maintenance and routine repair of over 30 CNC Vertical/Horizontal Mills, multi-axis Lathes and Swiss machines.
  • Maintaining the Major and Minor Preventative maintenance schedules and documenting repairs or service calls per company’s AS9100 policy.
  • Maintaining the 23,000 sf building maintenance plan per company’s AS9100 policy.
  • Coordinate outside service contractors for the quickest method of repair and/or ordering of replacement parts.
  • Daily upkeep of coolant levels, hydraulic levels and filtering requirements and minor building repairs.
  • Keeping accurate records of both internal and external service of equipment.
  • Keeping accurate records of vendors associated with repair parts and services.

  • Creates the machining process for new parts or trouble shoots those more difficult.
  • Set up preliminary runs to verify accuracy, provides feedback for process improvements.
  • Diagnoses and rectifies tooling problems and machine malfunctions.
  • Accurately reads and understands blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure proper setup requirements, sequence of operations, dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product.
  • Monitors machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Supervises routine preventative maintenance on machines and support equipment.
  • Provides recommendations to improve production methods and best use of equipment and tooling.
  • Performs in-process inspections on parts using precision measuring instruments and gauges.

Requirements:

  • At least 15 years machining experience with 5 years of multi-axis machining.
  • Ability to understand blueprints and engineering drawings with knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry/trigonometry concepts that apply to machining.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent standing and walking; frequent climbing and balance on large equipment; frequent stooping; kneeling; bending; and crouching; frequent lifting or moving up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting or moving up to 75 lbs.

This is a highly visible position to management in a small company atmosphere with focus on results and team unity. This is a new position created at the company to increase the quotation throughput and track profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Review customer prints, gov’t solicitations, technical data packages and any other pertinent information to accurately produce a profitable bid on the RFQ.
  • Communicate with purchasing to obtain quotes for raw materials, heat treating, penetrant inspection, passivation, plating etc. that will be included in the price.  
  • Develop manufacturing process and internal machining cycle times to manufacture the part according to print, including design and development of tools, fixtures and overall process flow.
  • Coordinate with production for accurate completion dates to offer best delivery schedule.
  • Follow up with customers in a polite and professional manner.
  • Maintain records on open bids, lost bids using E2 Shoptech and/or Micro Estimating software.
  • Assist in review of completed jobs for future estimates and profitability.
  • Assist in ISO/AS requirements for conducting Supplier Surveys.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of producing or estimating aerospace, medical or military precision machined parts.
  • Full understanding of the machining process, including speeds and feeds and knowing what tooling to use to maximize machines capabilities.
  • Knowledge of general business administration and an excellent command of the Machining Data Handbook.
  • Strong math aptitude, including trigonometry and all aspects of geometric tolerancing.
  • Analytical ability to gather data for costing, find solutions to various manufacturing problems, and prioritize work.
  • Proficient use of computers, including MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to efficiently use time, manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of diplomacy in approach with customers, coworkers and vendors.
  • Be organized and know how to negotiate/ follow up for the best possible outcome of the RFQ.
  • Knowledge of E2 Shoptech MRP Software and/or Micro Estimating Software a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily measuring of precision machined component to the AS9100 Standard using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, various types of manufacturing gages, comparators, CMM etc.
  • Must be able to read and understand customer specifications and drawings for the purpose of performing inspections.
  • Performs physical inspection of raw material and compares material certs.
  • Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts.
  • Perform 1st Article inspection per the customer’s request or the AS9100 standard.
  • Records inspection data as required in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, procedures, and other materials as necessary to assure that components being produced are according to specification and/or required drawing.
  • Basic understanding of machine shop equipment and operation.
  • Treat machinists as customers working together to produce the best possible machined parts.
  • Ability to perform in-house calibrations on various gages.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an ISO/AS certified machine shop.
  • Ability to understand blueprints, engineering drawings including geometric tolerancing.
  • Ability to use various measuring equipment for inspections and calibration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with proper legible handwriting.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry concepts that apply to machining.
  • Strong safety, quality, and teamwork orientation with track record of dependability.
  • CMM Set up and Programming experience a plus.
